RECIPE:

- 1 egg
- 50 ml warm water
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 100 ml sunflower oil
- 110 g yogurt
- 1 tsp baking soda + 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 300 g flour + 40 g cornstarch
- For the syrup:
- 600 ml water
- 520 g sugar
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Nut filling:
- Crushed walnuts
אופן ההכנה
- Knead a soft dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Divide into 12 parts, roll each very thin, dusting with cornstarch.
- Stack, roll into a log, slice, and place on a baking tray.
- Pour over 160 g melted butter and bake at 170°C (340°F) for 60–70 minutes.
- Pour cold syrup over hot rolls and let them soak for 2–3 hours.
- Perfectly crispy, syrupy, and aromatic rolls — a delightful homemade dessert!
