🍪 Ingredients

For the dough:

75 g powdered sugar (about 2/3 cup)

115 g butter (1/2 cup)

2 eggs

285 g all-purpose flour (2 1/4 cups)

1 pinch of salt

1 tbsp flour (for the light dough)

1 tbsp cocoa powder = 15 g (for the chocolate dough)

For the filling:

70 g nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts or almonds — your choice)

30 g powdered sugar (about 1/4 cup)

1/2 egg white

👩‍🍳 How to Make the Cookies

Cream the butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Add the eggs and mix until fully combined.

Add flour and a pinch of salt; form a soft dough.

Divide the dough into two equal parts:

✔ In one part, add 1 tbsp flour (light dough)

✔ In the other part, add 1 tbsp cocoa powder (15 g) (chocolate dough)

Chill both doughs in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Roll out the chocolate dough into a thin layer (2–3 mm).

Roll out the light dough and place it on top of the chocolate layer.

Cut the dough into squares 6 × 6 cm.

Mix together the nuts, powdered sugar, and egg white for the filling.
