Episode 5: How Many Dinners Can I Make for $40?

The dinners keep going, and tonight it's a classic: spaghetti with a hearty sausage sauce. Simple, filling, and easy on the wallet.

Here's what I bought:

Spaghetti sauce mix

Tomato paste

7 sausage links

I only used 3 links for this dinner and saved the other 4 for a future meal. Browned and crumbled the sausage, then stirred in 18 ounces of water (2 1/4 cups), the tomato paste, and the spaghetti sauce mix. Let that simmer for 30 minutes to thicken up.

While the sauce did its thing, I boiled 8 ounces of spaghetti to my liking. Mix it all together and enjoy!
