This is a really simple homemade sausage roll recipe using ready rolled pastry and pork sausage meat. Only the two ingredients to make delicious homemade sausage rolls. And at only 64p each it really is baking on a budget.

1 Roll of Puff Pastry 1.10

400g / 14oz Sausage Meat 2.74

Total Cost 3.84

6 Sausage Rolls 0.64 Each.

Roll out the pastry and cut into 6 equal squares.

Divide the sausage meat into 6 equal portions and roll into sausages.

Put the sausage meat onto the pastry squares and fold over and crimp.

Egg wash and bake at 170c / 338f / gas mark 4 for 20 - 25 mins.
