סמסה מסורתית בקיצור דרך
על המתכון
These Goshgizhge (Samsa) are one of my family’s favorite comfort foods—and this shortcut version makes them so easy! Instead of making dough from scratch and hand-chopping meat, I use prepared Malawach dough and pre-chopped beef and lamb from Kolsave. You still get that flaky, crispy exterior with a juicy, flavorful filling in a fraction of the time.
מצרכים
- Prepared Malawach dough
- 4 cups thinly sliced onions
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp onion salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- Chopped beef
- Chopped lamb
- Egg wash
- Sesame seeds
- Directions:
- Mix the onions, seasonings, beef, and lamb. Roll the Malawach dough into a log, cut into 4 pieces, fill, and seal (round or triangle). Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes until golden brown.
- This recipe is perfect for Shabbat, holidays, meal prep, or whenever you’re craving authentic homemade Samsa without all the extra work.
